HEAVY rain has helped firefighters battling major bushfires in WA, with emergency warnings downgraded to advice.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services ‘advice’ alerts are in place for bushfires in Baldivis, Jarrahwood, the Vasse Plantation near Busselton and the Sues Bridge and Baudin Plantation in the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River.

DFES said there is no threat to lives or homes, but residents should be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes.
