Ms Green said she was staying at the home of her partner on Leeuwin Parade in Rockingham on January 31 when the vandalism took place, and annoyingly it is not the first time she has been the victim of wanton destruction.

‘People have had screws in their tyres and suspicious flat tyres before, but when we went outside they’d been slashed this time,’ she said.

She said she didn’t believe the area was being deliberately targeted, but was just random and senseless vandalism.

‘Yahoos walk past from the pub at night. They’re just punks. What else is it but random acts? There could be more to it but I don’t think so.’

Despite having to stretch her pension to buy another set of tyres, Ms Green said she wanted nothing more than for other residents in the area to be made aware of these attacks and to make sure they took appropriate measures to prevent this from happening to them.

‘I just want this exposed and for people to remember to put their cars away and shut their garage doors at night,’ she said.
