KWINANA pioneer Kitty Iriks celebrated her 90th birthday with her family at a local park in Calista this month.
She moved to Kwinana in 1953 with her late husband Mat and four children. They settled in Kwinana as the first non-British family and quickly involved themselves in the community.
Their family grew to 10 children, 42 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren.
Only about half of her family could attend because many are spread throughout Australia.
