Police arrest wanted man Capper in Baldivis overnight

WANTED man Bret Lindsay Capper was arrested last night in Baldivis.

Police attended the intersection of Fifty Road and Mandurah Road at about 9.30pm last night after a reported sighting of Capper.

Officers from the Regional Operations Group, Kwinana Police and the Dig Squad attended, with support from the Police Airwing.

Police dog Rumble was deployed and tracked a scent into nearby bushland, and upon being approached, Capper surrendered and was arrested without incident.

The 42-year-old, who had managed to evade police for most of last week and was linked with a number of robberies, was charged with 18 offences, including aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm, stealing a motor vehicle, stealing, armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, burglary and reckless driving.

He will appear in Perth Magistrates Court later today.
