Police charge three men after vehicle stop in Anketell

THREE men were arrested in Anketell last night after police stopped a stolen Jeep Cherokee.

The car was stopped near the Kwinana Freeway on-ramp on Anketell Road by police at 1.35am.

A check of the license plates after the car was pulled over revealed it was stolen from an address in Leederville in July and had false plates.

Police then allegedly found several items in the car that had been stolen from an industrial yard on Pearse Road in Wattleup.

Officers went to the yard and found the fence had been forced open and a sea container was unlocked.

A 21-year-old man from Thornlie was charged with aggravated burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a prohibited weapon.

A 27-year-old Parmelia man was charged with aggravated burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 23-year-old man from Munster was charged with aggravated burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and stealing.
