A SEARCH of bushland at the Spectacles and around the Kwinana Hub has been launched after police receiving more information about missing woman Amber Sue Wilson.

Kwinana Police Senior Sergeant Rob Read said CCTV from the shopping centre and sightings by the public were the source of new information.

“She was last seen at about 2.30pm at the bus stop in front of the shopping centre,” he said.

“She was first seen at the Spectacles and to those who saw her she didn’t seem to be prepared to be in that sort of area bushwalking.”

“Then she has gotten back in her car and come down to the hub purchased some items and changed her clothes.

“She was last seen wearing a top and she has also put on a sparkly blue novelty cowboy hat and walked over to the bus stop and left her car in the car park.

“That was the last confirmed sighting of her.”

He said police were concerned as her behaviour was very out of character.

“Anything out of character is a concern for us. She has not been in contact with her family when normally she contacts them everyday,” he said.

“Her behaviour is not normally what she does.”

He said the search area was covering the Spectacles and bushland near the Hub shopping centre.

“There are 50-100 searchers in the area including dogs, horses and the SES,” he said.

“If anyone does sight her call through to police. We will check out every sighting as we have been doing,” he said.

“If it is found to be incorrect then so be it. We would rather find her safe and well.”

Amber Wilson is described as 178cm tall, solid build with long straight hair.

She left her car, a white Hyundai Trajet at the Kwinana Hub Shopping Centre after earlier being seen by members of the public near the intersection of McLaughlan Road and Anketell Road, The Spectacles at approximately 1:30pm on Monday.

If you have any information on her whereabouts, or may have seen her contact police immediately on 131 144.
