Two injured in Baldivis hit and run

TRAFFIC Enforcement Group officers are investigating a crash between a car and a motorcycle in Baldivis on Saturday, May 4.

Just before noon, a 39-year-old man and his eight-year-old son were riding a Qingqi motorcycle north on Makybe Road.

As the motorcycle entered the roundabout at the intersection of Acrasia Road, a blue hatchback vehicle travelling east failed to give way and collided with the motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle and his pillion passenger were thrown from the bike. The hatchback driver stopped briefly before driving away.

The eight-year-old boy was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital for treatment of a broken bone. The 39-year old man received an injured arm and went to Rockingham Hospital.

Police would like to speak to the driver of the hatchback and anyone who saw the crash.
