Police seeking assault witnesses

UPDATE, SEPTEMBER 9, 2020: On September 18, 2015, Mr Lloyd was sentenced to six years in jail for one count of deprivation of liberty and three counts of acts or omission causing bodily harm, all of which were first before Rockingham Magistrate’s Court on June 5, 2014. Two counts of sexual penetration without consent, also first before the court on June 5, 2014, were dismissed pursuant to Section 25 on May 27, 2015.

Scott Leith Lloyd (26) appeared in Rockingham Magistrates Court charged with two counts of sexual penetration without consent, two counts of doing bodily harm, deprivation of liberty and violence rendering a person incapable of resisting.

He is scheduled to reappear in court on July 16.

Rockingham detectives arrested the man at the Kwinana Hub shopping centre on Wednesday afternoon.

Police allege the woman was held hostage at a house in Hawker Street between May 29 and June 1.

Police said the woman suffered burns on her face, believed to be caused by chemicals from a drain cleaner product, and was treated at the burns unit at Royal Perth Hospital.

Rockingham Detectives Senior Sergeant Steve Crowley believed there were witnesses to the incidents and urged anyone with information to call 9550 1447 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
