PORT Kennedy 11-year-old Lachlan Wright is bonding with his seizure alert dog after $40,000 was raised by the community.
Lachlan has rare chromosomal abnormality 2q23.1 micro-deletion syndrome, which encompasses Refractory Epilepsy, intellectual disability and Autism.
His mother Elisha said they got black Labrador Cillia two weeks ago at a handover event at Rockingham RSL.
“It is amazing how quickly the bond occurred between Lachlan and Cillia,” she said.

The money for Cillia was raised by the Steve Warr Foundation in NSW, Rockingham Masters (where Lachlan’s father Steven plays football), Melville Glades Golf Club, a woman who walked 80km and members of the community.
