A 43-year-old Port Kennedy man has been charged with sexual assault regarding an incident that occurred in 1997.
It is alleged the victim was at her Queens Park home on her own on the night of June 21, 1997, when the man, who was wearing a balaclava and armed with a knife, broke in and tied her up before sexually assaulting her.
The man was interviewed by police on Monday May 23 and was subsequently charged with aggravated sexual penetration, deprivation of liberty, aggravated burglary and attempted robbery with violence.
