Prayers for women, children of Cuba

The focus will be on those who have suffered domestic abuse.

Parishioner Bev Southcott said that, like Australia, Cuba was facing a fast growing rate of domestic violence.

She added that despite Cuban woman accounting for 46 per cent of the public sector and 68 per cent of the technical and professional labour force, their abilities were still not recognised for key positions in their country.
