PREGNANCY Matters is calling on the Rockingham community to help celebrate their first birthday.

The volunteer-run centre will commemorate their first year with an Open Day on June 16.

The organisation, which runs solely on donations, aims to help those facing an unintended pregnancy by talking through all options in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment.

Chairwoman Karina Lewis said the aim of the organisation was to provide support and information to pregnant woman.

“We want to allow women the opportunity to work through the grief of a previous pregnancy loss, whether by miscarriage, abortion or stillbirth, in a safe space,” she said.

“We would help clients with their services including pregnancy testing, options counselling, an Earn While You Learn program, post-abortion counselling and material support with baby goods and clothes.”

The Open Day will start at 10am and finish at 1pm at 4/5 Goddard St Rockingham.
