Almost 300 students started at the new Peter Carnley Anglican Community School campus on the former Kwinana Christian School site.

Kindergarten, pre-primary and Year 1 students are at the new campus, while years 2 through to 12 remain at the Wellard site.

Community relations officer Craig Buchanan said the new campus had state-of-the-art technology, including interactive whiteboards throughout and a series of computer pods at strategic points.

“We have also undertaken extensive grounds renovations, with various grassed areas being brought back to life, raised beds being installed, play sculptures constructed for climbing and swinging, and custom-designed paths being laid out for scooters and bikes, complete with mini road signs,” he said.

Peter Carnley Anglican Community School also welcomed new principal Felicity House.

Ms House was the deputy principal at Perth College for several years.
