Michele Nugent, Weekend CourierWeekend Kwinana Courier

In two months, more than 3000 people have ‘liked’ the page with some fantastic photos depicting the region’s vivid past posted.

In an incredible coincidence, the photo of Mr Schneider as a child is at the bottom of Railway Parade, with the building where he now works, LJ Hooker Rockingham, in the background.

‘It was so spooky to have that shot with the building I now work at in the background,’ he said.

The photo was taken in the mid-60s when Mr Schneider was four and visiting Rockingham with his parents from Albany ” little did he know the location would become a part of his life in decades to come.

Mr Schneider is sitting on top of a decommissioned steam train that once sat in Churchill Park as a reminder of the city’s timber port history.

The page follows the concept of the Lost Perth Facebook page, with people able to post their own vintage photos of people and places in Rockingham.
