Resident alarmed at toddlers left in a car at Rockingham Shopping Centre car park

TWO toddlers were left in an unlocked car at the Rockingham Shopping Centre car park for at least 15 minutes yesterday, according to Rockingham resident Alan Goodier.

“It was late yesterday afternoon and I parked near the Australia Post Entrance,” Mr Goodier said.

“I got out of my car with my 18-year-old daughter Leticia.

“We saw a toddler asleep in a Mazda and there was another toddler in the car too.

“The car was running, a window was down four inches and the air conditioning was on.

“There was a phone and credit cards in the console.

“The parents were nowhere to be seen.”

Mr Goodier and his daughter went to centre management and said security officers went to investigate.

Rockingham Shopping Centre have been contacted for comment.
