ROCKINGHAM Aquatic Centre reopened on September 17 for another season.

The centre is Rockingham’s only dedicated outdoor aquatic facility with a heated 50m pool, 25m pool and shaded toddlers’ pool set among landscaped gardens and shady grassed areas.

It will be open until April 18, with a range of activities including swimming lessons, aquarobics, water polo and swimming squad training available.

City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged residents to head down to the pool to cool off as temperatures increase.

“The Rockingham Aquatic Centre is a fantastic place for families to have a swim, relax and cool off when the weather heats up,” he said.

“The grounds are an ideal location for a family outing, group or corporate functions, with plenty of shade, a children’s playground and free barbecues.”

During the summer regular Funday Sundays are held at the centre, with families able to join in a range of activities including the use of monster-sized inflatable pool toys.

The Rockingham Aquatic Centre is on Council Avenue, opposite Careeba Oval. For more details call 9591 0835 or email customer@rockingham.wa.gov.au.
