Rockingham area’s first MRI scanner unveiled at Waikiki

THE first MRI scanner in the region has been unveiled at Perth Radiological Clinic in Waikiki.

Customer relations manager Ann Khong said it was a big win for the community.

“Previously patients had to either travel to Booragoon or Mandurah for their MRI scans,” she said.

“Furthermore, this MRI scanner has a partial Medicare licence on it, meaning, certain scans will attract a Medicare rebate when their GP refers them.

“It also means we are able to bulk bill these Medicare rebatable scans for Health Care Card holders, pension card holders and children under 16-years.”
