POLICE are urging residents not to touch or remove suspicious items after a homemade bomb was found in Rockingham.
A police spokesman said a member of the public found an improvised explosive device in a garden bed, near the Read Street underpass on Monday, January 30.
The device was found at 3.45pm and was handed to police.

The Bomb Squad attended and investigations are continuing.
“If members of the public find a suspicious item, they should not touch or remove it,” the spokesman said.
“Police should be called to assess if a specialist response is necessary.”
