A LOCAL business has found a perfect answer to hiring staff by using disability employment service Bizlink.

Impeccable Hand Car Wash & Detailing is owned by Gurmukh Sandhu and managed by brother-in-law Gurdit Singh since its inception two years ago.

The business has employed eight Bizlink clients, three of which are still employed there today.

Employees Brad Monger and Kevin Gore both appreciated the opportunity and valued their employer.

“I have only been here a week,” Brad said.

“It’s great to get active, get self-esteem and, of course, money.”

For Kevin it is his first job.

“It’s been very good, excellent,” he said.

“I have been here about a year and Bizlink helped to provide the job.”

Hailing from Northern India (Punjab), Mr Sandhu said it was important to foster and welcome diversity in employment.

“Being an immigrant myself, it’s good to employ local people who are from here,” he said.

“It feels good; you feel part of the community and it helps me to learn the culture. It helps me a lot.

“It’s a nice experience and you realise everyone is the same.

“And they get to know us better.

“It’s easy to work with the guys, as they like to work here and like me.

“If someone comes to you and you are helping them move on with their life, then I am more than happy to do that.”
