A spokeswoman said the girls were overwhelmed with happiness, for not only Toxic Cheer but for their country.

“They are on cloud nine at the moment,” she said.

There are 21 girls competed at ICU representing Australia. They were picked from a number of teams that were nominated about a month before leaving to compete at Worlds.

“They had to change their routine to adapt to this competition as well and did it amazingly,” the spokeswoman said.

The Toxic Cheer team will compete at the Cheerleading Worlds tomorrow morning, competing against more than 40 teams in their division.

The girls have worked with international choreographers also as part of their routine.

Rachel Sherwood and Joshua Coker are their coaches.
