Rockingham City Pipe Band celebrates band’s achievements

ROCKINGHAM City Pipe Band members celebrated the band’s achievements with a dinner at the Warnbro Last Drop Inn.

Mayor Barry Sammels and his wife Karen joined 25 band members and guests for the celebration.

Life memberships were awarded to Mervyn Speedie, Dave Sinclair and Michael Sinclair.

Rob Duncan received the most improved piper award and Martin Burns was recognised as the most improved drummer.

The band has been performing in the Rockingham, Kwinana and Mandurah areas since 1995 and performs at Anzac Day services, citizenship ceremonies and fetes.

The band’s latest performances were at Max Kay’s concerts in Mandurah, Mt Lawley and Bunbury.
