DETECTIVES need information in relation to a robbery and assault at Rockingham Shopping Centre on Thursday, August 31.

About 8:45pm, a man entered the store while staff members were attempting to close up.

The man walked to the back of the store and hid a pair of shoes underneath his top.

He tried to leave the store, but was stopped by a female staff member and asked to return the shoes.

The man became verbally abusive towards the staff member and threatened her.

A second staff member stepped in and the man punched them several times causing minor injuries.

Police have released CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist them with the investigation.

He is fair skinned, of a medium build, approximately 170cm tall and approximately 40-years-old.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a jacket.
