Rockingham detectives looking for man who attacked two women

ROCKINGHAM Detectives are seeking information to assist with their investigation into two serious armed robberies.

The latest robbery occurred in Shoalwater yesterday .

Sometime between 11.30pm and 12am, a woman was assaulted with a brick as she walked alone along Second Avenue near Shoalwater oval.

The offender stole her belongings.

The 20-year-old woman received serious head injuries was taken to Rockingham General Hospital for treatment.

The man was described as in his late teens to early twenties, with olive skin, about 175cm tall, medium build, and brown bushy/curly hair.

He was wearing a dark coloured top and jeans.

It is believed the incident may be linked to a similar incident in Shoalwater on Friday August 5.

In this case, sometime between midnight and 12.30am, a woman was assaulted by an unknown person as she was walking along Safety Bay Road near Wilson Park.

The 38-year-old woman received serious head injuries and was taken to Rockingham General Hospital before being transferred to Royal Perth Hospital.

The man was described as being 19 to 25 years of age, with a pale complexion, unshaven, about 172cms tall, a very slim build, short dark hair and brown eyes.

He was wearing a grey hooded jumper with a black pattern or logo on the front.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the woman prior to the incident.

She is described as being fair skinned with a slim build and brown hair. She was wearing a dark coloured jumper, white pants and bright pink running shoes.
