Rockingham family’s yachting holiday goes to unwanted heights

Declan ByrneWeekend Kwinana Courier

A ROCKINGHAM woman said she is relieved to be home after her family’s yachting holiday up north went ‘horribly wrong’.

Carolyn Knight said the yacht she was in hit a reef and within minutes was three or four metres up in the air.

After being rescued by a passing boat, Ms Knight waited about seven hours for the tide to raise the boat off the reef before heading to Broome for repairs.
