Rockingham: fire causes $500,000 damage to Youngbloods Tattoo Parlour

A TATTOO parlour in Rockingham was engulfed in fire this morning after a truck crashed into the building, causing about $500,000 worth of damage.

At about 3.10am, police were called to the fire at Youngbloods Tattoo Parlour at the  corner of Flinders Lane and Kent Street.

According to police, occupants of the truck had fled on foot after the vehicle crashed into the building.

On arrival, police found the truck partially inside the premises, with both the vehicle and building on fire.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services crews attended and extinguished the fire.

Significant damage was caused to the building.

The area remains under guard and Arson Squad detectives will attend the scene today to investigate.
