City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels will flick the switch for the lights just after dark about 7.40pm.

“It is always amazing to see the park light up and we look forward to creating another attractive display that will be enjoyed by Rockingham families and visitors alike,” he said.

He encouraged residents and visitors to explore the many Christmas window displays in businesses and shops along the foreshore.

He said there was a competition underway for the best window display and members of the community could vote for their favourite decorated window.

By voting for your favourite display there is a chance to win a $100 voucher from Lovell Jewellers.

Visit www.rockingham.wa.gov.au from December 3 to cast your vote.
