Rockingham: Group of youths rob 15-year-old boy in Cooloongup

ROCKINGHAM Detectives are seeking information about a 15-year-old boy being robbed by a group of youths in Cooloongup on Saturday, April 9.

About 11am, the boy was cycling along Cuthbertson Drive when he was approached by a group of about of 10 youths (16 to 17 years old) on bicycles near Elanora Drive.

The group rode their bicycles in front of the victim, blocking his path.

One of the group threatened the victim, demanding he give them his bag.

As one of the youths grabbed the bag, the victim’s black iPad mini fell out of the bag.

The group rode off, stealing the iPad.

The victim was able to describe three people in the group.

One was a fair-skinned male, about 160cm tall, with a slim build and scraggy brown hair. He was wearing a T-shirt and shorts as well as a baseball cap. He was riding a black and gold patterned BMX bicycle.

Another male was described as fair skinned, about 175cm tall with a medium build, light orange hair going blonde. He was wearing a white T-shirt and shorts, riding a white coloured mountain bike.

A girl left the group and offered to try and get the victim’s iPad back. She was fair skinned, very slim, short with long rainbow coloured hair with blonde re-growth.
