Rockingham hosts intergenerational outdoor adventure

MILLENNIALS met baby boomers for an intergenerational outdoor adventure of kayaking, bushwalking and yoga in Rockingham.

Young people aged 12 to 24 years participated alongside seniors aged 60 and over in a bid to break down generational barriers.

The Outdoor Adventure Series was held by the City of Rockingham in its natural treasures, including Palm Beach and Point Peron.

Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels said it was wonderful to see how friendships had develop-|ed.

“Each activity was held with the goal of ultimately building a connected and active community. Those who took part shared stories with each other during the activities, with many participants finding out they actually had quite a lot in common with their counterparts,” he said.
