THE driver of a car on Read Street in Rockingham had a lucky escape after a fire started under his car’s dash today.
A Department of Fire and Emergency spokeswoman said they received a 000 call at 1.13pm from the driver of the car.
“Rockingham Fire and Emergency Service attended,” she said.
The fire was extinguished just after 1.20pm.

It is not clear what started the fire or cost of the damage at this stage.
