“I used to own a boutique in Tasmania and it was something I became interested in then,” she said.

“I started learning all about it and when I moved to Perth I wanted to have a business but I did not want to have premises or stock.”

“So I started this business; it’s my fourth business.”

“I like being in business.”

Although she can style for any age group, she felt one group had been somewhat left behind by the fashion industry.

“I market towards middle-aged women,” she said.

“The fashion industry doesn’t really market to them. It targets younger women really well but those middle-aged, they just get lost.”

For that reason she said she filled a niche by helping those woman with everyday fashion.

“Everyday, affordable fashion regardless of budget is what I specialise in,” she said.

“I think personal styling saves time and money in the long run because you get to know what will suit you.

“Being able to recognise what someone is comfortable in is a big part of it; it’s important to be able to nail how they feel with what look they want.

“I prefer to take clients to their local shopping centre. I treat it as an education for them so it is easier for them, not harder.

“Then later on they can get what they need without having to travel too far.”

She also travels to clients and can take them wherever they chose.
