Rockingham Police warn a group of young males still offending

Vanessa SchmittWeekend Kwinana Courier

ROCKINGHAM police have charged several people after a spate of burglaries, but claim a group of males is still offending.

Earlier this month Rockingham police posted on Twitter that a group of six or seven male youths were committing theft and burglaries across Rockingham, particularly Warnbro, Port Kennedy and Waikiki.

Earlier this week two young males were arrested in Waikiki as the result of information received from the public.

This week Rockingham police said their charge registers had “copped a flogging.”

Police said they were “flat out” and achieved some decent results over the past week.

The results were well into the double figures for burglary and drug charges.

Police appealed for members of the public to keep providing information.

“We have slowed them down but they are still at it – especially the groups of young males,” a police spokesman said.

“Please keep your eyes and ears peeled, maintain good security around the home and if you see someone or something suspicious, whip out your phone and start taking photos or video.”
