A MAN has been charged after he allegedly went on a rampage in a car and threatened multiple people with a metal pole, including a man in his 60s, who he is accused of seriously assaulting after crashing the vehicle into his Rockingham home yesterday.

Investigators have charged the 38-year-old Balga resident, who is not believed to know any of the victims, with 12 offences.

Police allege the Nissan Navara struck a home on Barnes Street about 7.15am.

The man is accused of assaulting a man at the home with a metal pole and threatening a woman before the victims ran to the safety of a neighbour’s house.

The accused allegedly then bashed on the door of the neighbour’s house with the weapon.

The male victim was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.

Police further allege the man drove to a Seabrook Avenue house and smashed two windows at the property about 7.30am. The residents are believed to have confronted the man but retreated back into the house when he allegedly threatened them.

At 8.05am, he is accused of reversing the utility into a car while they were stopped at a red light on Thomas Road in Medina. The victim got out of his car to question the man, but fled to the safety of his vehicle when he saw the accused was allegedly wielding a hammer and metal pole.
