Rockingham Senior High School Education Support Centre student baristas serving Xmas cheer with fresh brews

THE DOLPHIN Cafe at Rockingham Senior High School Education Support Centre is serving Christmas cheer with Year 10 students making fresh coffee for staff.

The Year 10 student baristas are learning how to use the commercial coffee machine, electronic till, take orders and handle cash.

The students have a large customer base, taking orders from staff at the Education Support Centre and Rockingham Senior High School.

Teacher Jacky Lovegrove, who delivers the program, said the students were working well as a team.

“The whole experience is a real confidence booster for them, they are really stepping up,” she said.

The Dolphin Cafe Enterprise Program ensures students are well prepared for work in the Hospitality Industry.

Cafe students will be completing either a Certificate I or II in Hospitality in 2018.
