Rockingham: three boys charged after two boys (aged 12 and 13) assaulted

ROCKINGHAM Police have charged three juveniles after they allegedly assaulted a boy in Safety Bay and another in Rockingham on Monday afternoon .

It is alleged the first victim, a 13-year-old boy, was walking along Malibu Road in Safety Bay at about 3.30pm when he was assaulted by three young males.

Police claim the second victim, a 12-year-old boy, was walking along Rae Road in Rockingham at about 3.50pm when he was assaulted by one of the young males from the same group.

The victim’s bag was stolen from him which contained personal items.

The group later used the victim’s debit card to purchase items at a nearby deli.

Detectives found and arrested three young males yesterday in relation to the incidents.

An 11-year-old boy was charged with aggravated assault with intent to rob, aggravated robbery, aggravated common assault and breach of bail. He appeared in Perth Children’s Court today .

A 13-year-old boy was charged with aggravated assault with intent to rob, was also due in court today .

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated assault with intent to rob and was released on bail. He is due to appear in Rockingham Children’s Court on September 5.
