Tiny Tots Child Care Centre was assessed under the National Quality Framework with its service rated against the National Quality Standard for Early Childhood Education, Care and School Age Care Services.

Out of seven categories, it received a final rating of exceeding requirements.

This included the areas of education and practice, relationships with children, collaborative partnerships with families and communities and leadership and service management.

For children’s health and safety, physical environment and staffing arrangements, the centre is meeting requirements.

Director Sylvia Storer said it was a proud moment for the family-run centre.

“This rating means everything,” she said.

“The assessment goes on our history and we have a clean slate with no major incidents.

“We have a family focus where everyone is treated like family.”

Mrs Storer said she enjoyed working with her parents, Thomas and Nancy Stanners, who, in their early 80s, were still actively involved with the business.

Other family members working at the centre include her daughter Karina Storer and Lisa Stanners.

In a letter from the Education and Care Regulatory Unit the efforts of all staff at Tiny Tots were acknowledged.
