Rockingham: witnesses sought after son of Mark McGowan has bike stolen and is threatened with knife

ROCKINGHAM Detectives are calling for witnesses after Rockingham MLA Mark McGowan’s son Samuel (13) was threatened and had his bike stolen in Rockingham on Saturday .

Police said Samuel saw two youths take a bicycle from outside a home on Koorda Place between 5.30pm and 6pm.

He followed the youths for several kilometres and when he caught up to one of the youths, the youth threatened him with a knife.

The youths are described as being aged between 13 and 14 years of age with fair skin.

One was wearing a white t-shirt and the second a black baggy T-shirt with writing on it, black runners and was carrying a grey coloured satchel or bum bag.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the youths in the area of Koorda Place, Barossa Approach, Fisher Street, Properjohn Drive and Rees Crescent in Rockingham.
