ROCKINGHAM detectives are investigating the robbery of a 69-year-old woman in Rockingham on Tuesday, March 8.
At about 4.30pm the victim had crossed the road at the intersection of Kitson Street and Council Avenue and was walking across the car park towards the shopping centre.
Police said a grey vehicle drove alongside her and stopped. A man exited the vehicle from the rear driver’s side door and shouted “see you later” to the driver.

The male then stood over her and pulled the victim’s hand bag from her. The victim tried hanging onto the bag with both hands but was overpowered.
The man then returned to the same vehicle and it exited the car park at speed onto Council Avenue in the direction of Ennis Avenue.
The offender was described as being in his early teens, slim build, dark skinned and spoke with an Australian accent. He was wearing a white and light blue collared t-shirt, navy blue shorts and light coloured sneakers.
The vehicle was described as a new model sedan, graphite grey in colour with dark tinted windows.
