Rockingham: youths threw bottles and police officer bitten by dog in out of control party

A POLICE officer was bitten by a dog and youths threw bottles at police after an out of control party in Rockingham last night.

Police received numerous calls in relation to a disturbance at a residence in Arkwell Avenue just after 10pm.

Police arrived to find about 120 juveniles, some intoxicated and a large amount of alcohol at the home.

The party organiser, with advice from police, agreed to close down the party.

Youths started throwing bottles and the party was declared an out of control gathering.

A police vehicle received minor damage to the bonnet after a party goer threw a brick at police.

One police officer received medical treatment after being bitten by a dog while inside the home speaking with the property owners.

No charges have been laid at this time.
