Rockingham’s shining employer rewarded with Rotary Club Employer of the Year award

ROCKINGHAM business Urban Retreat Day Spa was one of seven local employers to bag a Rotary Club Employer of the Year 2017 award at Rockingham RSL last Saturday.

The award criteria outlined exceptional employer work ethic as well as demonstrated compassion for employees when personal matters affected them.

Carol Frieling, from Urban Retreat Day Spa, said she was surprised and pleased by the result.

“I appreciate being awarded such an honourable title like this” she said.

The 2017 award finalists included Baldivis Pharmacy, CKU School Bus Services, Insight Physiotherapy, Rockingham Carpet Court, Sterling’s Office National, Street Hassle Events and Urban Retreat Day Spa.

All the employers nominated had to be listed by an employee and their business had to be within the City of Rockingham.
