Rotary help for villages in Timor

Vanessa SchmittWeekend Kwinana Courier

Mr Bird said there was less civil unrest in Timor-Leste than in previous years.

"The people of Timor-Leste now want to now get on with their lives, continue working with us in helping them to improve their life and health with clean water," he said.

"Bear in mind that some of these people are walking and carting water up to five kms just for a drink of water."

For the past few years, Mr Bird has helped a team of charity workers install bores and water tanks to different villages.
