That classroom has since been repaired and students returned to the room on Monday, March 9.
Department of Education infrastructure executive director John Fischer said ceilings were replaced in three other rooms as a precaution.
Students have been relocated to other rooms during the repair works, which are due to be completed by the end of March.
The remaining repair works to restrap the ceilings to the joists will take place in April.
The Department confirmed that asbestos was not detected in the classroom where the ceiling fell.
The saddles which hold the ceiling in room 10 in place had decayed and were no longer able to hold the plaster-glass sheeting, Mr Fischer said.
