The land search continued with mounted police conducting sweeps of the beachfront after Mr Angel’s kayak was located upside down off Point Peron yesterday.

Missing kayaker’s family in anxious appeal

Emergency services began a search for Mr Angel after he was reported missing on Wednesday, but were forced to pull back around 3pm on Thursday because of poor weather.

The experienced kayaker had activated his personal locator beacon around 11am on Wednesday.

So far only his kayak, a kayak paddle and the beacon have been found.
