Search resumes for missing Rockingham fishermen in Coral Bay tomorrow

A PLANE, police boat Delphinus, Volunteer Marine Rescue boats and quad bikes were used today in a land, sea and air search for a 50-year-old Port Kennedy man and a 57-year-old Cooloongup man who are missing on their vessel off Coral Bay.

Debris located in the search area that was thought to be the hull of a boat has been discounted as being from the vessel rescue teams are looking for.

Tomorrow the land and sea search will continue in an attempt to locate the missing fisherman and vessel.

Numerous items, believed to have come from the vessel belonging to two missing fishermen, were found during a search off Coral Bay yesterday.

The two men departed Coral Bay in an 8.2m vessel on Sunday and should have returned before sunset. The fishermen’s boat trailer and car were still parked at the boat ramp at Monk Head on Monday.
