MEET Mr June 2019 from Secret Harbour.
Jesse Molloy is one of 14 firefighters lifting the thermometre for those who like it hot every month of the year.
Mr Molloy features as Mr June in The 2019 Firefighter’s Calendar.
Hot off the press, money from the sale of each $15 calendar will go to the Children’s Hospital’s burns unit.
It Mr Molloy’s children who inspired him to be part of the calendar.
“Having a couple of kids of my own I know there’s nothing worse than a sick or suffering child and I think any chance we have to make the experience better for both the children and their families should be taken advantage of,” he said.
“I signed up for the calendar because it’s a bit of fun for everyone involved and raises crucial funds to help Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation to continue to provide support, research and improved care for the children and their families being treated at the hospital.
“I’ve recently been to Perth Children’s Hospital and have seen first-hand the benefits and equipment previous years’ calendars have funded, and so hopefully we can put in a huge effort this year and make it the best fundraiser yet.”
Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation chief executive Carrick Robinson said the calendar had helped countless children of the hospital.
“Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation is enormously grateful to the fieries who have put their bodies on the line to raise money for children being cared for in the hospital’s Burns Unit,” he said.
