A BEAUTIFUL bovine could result in a windfall for Secret Harbour Primary School.

Students expressed their creative talents by decorating a life-sized cow.

Their colourful cow is now a finalist in the Dairy Australia’s Picasso Cows Makeover competition.

Dubbed Miss Kelly Ton, the cow was one of six finalists from a pool of 50 submissions across the country.

Judges selected the finalists based on the students’ artistic efforts, along with the quality of their learning journals, which documented their educational journey throughout the duration of the program.

The Makeover program gives schools the chance to redesign their fibreglass cow, which they created years ago while learning about where food comes from, the health benefits of dairy foods and the importance of the Australian dairy industry.

If named the National Makeover Champion on November 7, Secret Harbour Primary will receive a $2500 cash prize for their school. Second place will be awarded $1000 and third place will receive $500.
