A 213cm carpet python caught in a Ravenswood yard on Saturday was the biggest snake catcher Paul Kenyon has seen in suburbia.
“It was big and weighty,” he said.
“It was particularly heavy considering the weather lately.”

READ NOWMr Kenyon said the python was from the wild and he removed several ticks from it.
“It probably came from a grassy paddock,” he said.
“I didn’t sex it, but from the size it was probably female.”
Mr Kenyon releases most of his snakes in Serpentine.
“I took this python to a nice rocky area close to water,” he said.
Mr Kenyon’s The Snake Whisperer business is based in Secret Harbour and covers Rockingham, Mandurah and Pinjarra.
He usually catches dugites and tiger snakes and gets the occasional callout for pythons.
“On Saturday I had three callouts for dugites as well as the carpet python,” he said.
