SECRET Harbour artist Samantha Prentice has been adding some colour and vibrancy to the local community.

Prentice has completed a colourful parrot mural at Secret Harbour Square and has given the bins an artistic graffiti makeover.

She has been encouraging members from local community groups to indulge their creative flair by designing and painting unique fish sculptures.

Participating groups include Secret Harbour Surf Life Saving Club, Chorus Mandurah, Mug n Brush from Rockingham, Port Kennedy’s Premier Performance Academy and MumTime Warnbro.

The fish are on display as part of Sculptures in the Square until June 10.

Residents can vote for their favourite and one of the groups will receive a $2000 donation.

At the conclusion of the campaign, an auction event will be held on Saturday, June 23.

The fish can be purchased, with all proceeds going back to the community group who designed and painted the sculpture.

Secret Harbour Square regional marketing manager Kerrie Allen said the campaign offered both shopper and community rewards.

“We are thrilled to be able to give back to the community who supports us,” she said.

“Sculptures in the Square has allowed us to reach out to community groups who are important to our shoppers, and offer them an opportunity to raise much needed funding,” she added.
