CHILDREN will be squishing, squelching and hunting after dark during a free community event to feel and see swamp critters.
As part of Walk Over October, Satterley Property Group are hosting the Night Nature Stalk so children can explore the natural environment of Honeywood Estate.
Community development co-ordinator Shahan Hobson said each year the event had been very popular with children in the local area.
“Due to its popularity the Night Nature Stalk is now an annual event in Honeywood,” she said.
“There is something exciting about being out in the dark with a torch for kids.
“Those with a sense of adventure will love this expedition and it’s also a great opportunity for people in the community to catch up with their neighbours while getting out in nature.”
The free expedition is on October 6 from 6 to 8.30pm. Participants should bring a torch, warm clothing, waterproof shoes and a raincoat if it is raining.
To RSVP call Shahan Hobson on 9368 9040.
The Walk Over October encourages residents to be more active by way of health, transport, recreation and the environment.
