Shoalwater assault: police release image of man wanted for questioning

ROCKINGHAM detectives have released images of a man wanted in relation to the assault of a woman in Shoalwater.

The assault occurred Friday, August 5, sometime between midnight and 12:30am.

She was assaulted by an unknown man as she was walking along Safety Bay Road near Wilson Park.

The 38-year-old woman received serious head injuries as a result of the assault.

She was taken to Rockingham Hospital before being transferred to Royal Perth Hospital.

The man is described as 19 to 25 years of age, with a pale grey complexion, unshaved, approximately 172cms tall, a very slim build, short dark hair and brown eyes.

He was wearing a grey hooded jumper with a black pattern or logo on the front.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the woman prior to the attack.

The woman is fair skinned with a slim build and brown hair.

She was wearing a dark coloured jumper, white pants and bright pink running shoes.
