Shock, horror as Kiwi accent is named world’s sexiest

IN a shocking new poll the Kiwi accent has been found the sexiest in the world.

Maybe it’s the way Kiwis pronounce the number six or maybe it’s the way they shove random letters into words, regardless a Big 7 poll of more than 1.5 million people from around the world put the Kiwi accent on top.

This came as a surprise to many of us because the Kiwi accent is basically a poor man’s Australian accent and neither accent is sexy.

The South African accent, which is even worse than both accents put together came in second.

One of our favourite Kiwis – Flight of the Conchords Jemaine Clement pointed out that many Australians and Kiwis (rightly) were having a hard time with the poll results.

Many social media users voiced their outrage at the results.

Proof that the New Zealand accent is not sexy comes from Kiwi news site 1 News Now.

They dubbed famous movie love scenes with the Kiwi accent and the results will make you cringe.

The Big 7 Travel poll ranked the South African accent second, Irish third, Italian fourth and Australian fifth.
